The terrain of France is “mostly flat plains or gently rolling hills in north and west; remainder is mountainous, especially Pyrenees in south, Alps in east.” Imagine that. The mountains are mountainous, and the plains are flat.
French Fact 2 (Dec. 9–Dec. 15, 2007)
The lowest point in France is the Rhone River delta, at 2 m (7 ft) below sea level. So the Rhone flows up to the ocean.
French Fact 3 (Dec. 16–Dec. 22, 2007)
France is the largest country in Western Europe, and the second largest country in Europe, behind Russia.
French Fact 4 (Dec. 23–Dec. 29, 2007)
France suffers from flooding, but also from drought and forest fires. They should really see about some water storage systems or something.
